Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Sanctuary Group is seeking a motivated and experienced Nursing Quality Improvement Specialist to provide essential support and guidance aimed at fostering sustainable enhancements in nursing practices across various nursing homes in the North East, North West, and East Midlands regions. This role requires regular travel, thus a valid driving license is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clinical and restorative supervision for registered nurses, promoting reflective practice while recognizing achievements and identifying areas for ongoing improvement.
- Ensure that all nursing registrants are adequately prepared for revalidation, meeting and exceeding the standards of proficiency set by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- Support nursing learners in achieving positive experiences and best practices, including student nurses, nursing associates, and internationally educated nurses preparing for registration.
- Collaborate with nursing professionals to ensure their competence, confidence, and excellence in clinical and nursing skills.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to continuously advance nursing practices and care delivery.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and a degree in nursing.
- A full, valid driving license.
- Qualification as a nursing practice supervisor or assessor.
- Demonstrated recent clinical nursing experience in health or social care settings.
- Experience in enhancing nursing practices and addressing professional challenges.
- Background in change management or working within challenging service environments.
- Proven ability to effectively manage the delivery of improvement projects.
- Strong leadership skills characterized by compassion and clarity.
- Excellent communication skills, with a solid understanding of both written and spoken English.
- Up-to-date clinical nursing practice knowledge and understanding of professional practice issues.
