About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Health Specialist to join our team at Bradford Council. As a key member of our public health team, you will play a crucial role in improving the wellbeing and health of our residents.

About the Team

Our public health team is passionate and ambitious, working to deliver evidence-based policy and strategy to improve health and wellbeing. We have a strong focus on applied research, with our partnership with the Bradford Institute of Health Research, and have recently secured £5m to develop research capacity and capability across the Council.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting time to be in Bradford, with the city being named City of Culture in 2025. As a Public Health Specialist, you will contribute to our achievement of greater cross-sectoral integration through systems-leadership and delivery of joint priorities. You will work closely with partner organisations to drive projects at a pace necessary to deliver the changes needed to improve health and wellbeing.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be a trained specialist on the GMC Register/GDC Specialist List or UK Public Health Register. You will have a strong focus on delivering joint priorities and contributing to the achievement of greater cross-sectoral integration.
