As a Clinical Leader of Othropaedics at Nuffield Health Chester hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you have the relevant qualifications and experience, including HCPC, NMC.


As a Clinical Leader, part of your role will be:nTo support the Clinical Head of Department with the management of the department, providing clinical leadership, shift management and appropriate delegation of work, encouraging strong performance, self-appraisal, continuing development and open and honest conversations.nWill manage and maintain your own team.nTo deputise for the Clinical Head of Department (as required).nCo-ordinate activity and be responsible for patient care and safetynBe instrumental to the patient experience, ensuring seamless, personalised carenTo take on additional responsibilities and extend scope of practice in accordance with patient, clinical and service needs eg.

Trainer/Link Practitioner.nTo contribute towards patient and clinical data reporting, submitting specialist data in response to internal, external and regulatory requests.nWork well with consultants who are experts in their fieldnTo lead and promote governance activity, championing clinical effectivenessnand ensuring full compliance with Nuffield Health's Quality governance framework and national standards, e.g.

CQC/HIW/HIS Regulation, fundamentals of care, professional standards and evidence-based guidelines.nTo contribute towards the department's action and service development plans (in line with own role and sphere of practice).nTo implement all policies and procedures across the department, role modelling clinical excellence and driving consistency, comprehension and compliance.nTo identify resource requirements (pertaining to specialist area) and communicate these to the hospital's clinical leadership team, ensuring the delivery of a fit for purpose and clinically efficient service.nIn partnership with Clinical Head of Department, to monitor the use of clinical resources (direct and indirect costs) within the department, ensuring clinical and resource efficiency.
