Ayrshire Youth Support Service offers assistance to individuals aged 16-25 who are experiencing homelessness. The service's goal is to deliver top-notch support and establish professional connections that empower young individuals to maintain their living arrangements and reduce instances of repeated homelessness.
'The Promise' in Scotland is that children and young adults will be nurtured, safe, and respected. As a transition mentor, you will be required to embody this philosophy in the support you offer. Your role involves collaborating closely with young individuals to explore avenues in employment, education, and community engagement. Some of the individuals you'll work with have faced significant challenges in their past, and your task is to provide guidance and assurance to ensure their safety and well-being.
Ayrshire Youth Support Service operates as a 24-hour residential help facility where each young person has their own tenancy.
