Oxford Centre for Respiratory Medicine( Osler Respiratory Unit ) based in John Radcliffe Hospital currently has positions available for Band 5 staff nurses who are interested in further developing their respiratory skills.

The in-patient ward clients include those requiring treatment for COPD, Asthma, CF/Bronchiectasis, pleural diseases, Interstitial lung disease, High flow oxygen, chest drain, non-invasive ventilation (NIV/CPAP) and tracheostomy. We also receive High Level care patients.

About us Osler Respiratory Unit is part of the Specialist Medicine Directorate under MRC (Medicine, cardiac, Rehab) Division. The ward has 24 bed capacity mainly side rooms with only 1 bay with 2 beds. We look after high level care/high dependency patients.   • Registered Nurse (Part or 15 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council Register depending on area of practice) or National Certification in area of Practice

  • Evidence of ongoing professional development through maintenance of an NMC revalidation or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years acute care registered nurse experience.
  • Evidence of achievement of a Nursing and Midwifery, (NMC) approved Mentorship qualification.

  • Post-graduate qualification related to an area of practice.
