About the Role
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Foundation/Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care from admission to discharge.
- Accurately document and report patient care to the nursing team, multidisciplinary team, and family/carers.
- Respond to emergency situations with composure and maintain patient safety.
- Identify and discuss patient needs with the team, patients, carers, and multidisciplinary team.
- Plan and execute individualized plans of care based on a person-centered model of care.
- Communicate complex and sensitive information effectively to patients, carers, and staff.
- Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality at all times.
Working in the Surgical Emergency Unit Triage
You will work in a fast-paced and dynamic emergency assessment area, reviewing patients directly from ED, GP, paramedics, and other sources. You will participate in rapid nurse assessments, cannulation, venepuncture, and other extended nursing skills. Many of our patients have complex needs with co-morbidities requiring ongoing management.
Person Specification
- NMC registered or due to complete course.
- Previous nursing experience is desirable.
