Set the bar for greatness

  • We are looking for Women's Goalkeeping Pathway Coaches to support the delivery of the Women's Goalkeeping Strategy, through oncamp delivery with National Development Teams. Working with a multidisciplinary team, the Goalkeeping Coach/es will contribute to the planning, delivery & review processes for International events, ensuring a consistent worldleading environment is created.
  • We are looking for up to 5 Coaches to take on casual contracts to support us until 31st July 2024.
We have opportunities to work with the following groups:

  • U23s
  • U19s
  • U17s
  • U16s
  • U15s
  • The opportunity will be mainly homebased with the requirement to deliver on camp as and when required, including overseas.
  • Anticipated number of days required could range from 1580 'on camp' days with additional planning and review days factored into the contract (between 1020 days depending on the number of camps the age group has)

About The Team

  • Our Technical Team supports all aspects of men's and women's elite performance including para football, the elite format of disability football that runs parallel to the mainstream game so we can help England teams to win tournaments. Our team manages everything from identifying talent to the development and coaching of multidisciplinary teams throughout the age groups, up to our Senior England teams.

What You'll Do

  • To work as a goalkeeping coach across the England Women's National Development Teams.
  • To support the delivery of a seasonal fixture programme of training camps, games & tournaments.
  • To support the delivery of the Women's Goalkeeping Strategy.
  • To support the multidisciplinary team (MDT) with the planning, delivery & review of International events.
  • Contribute to Talent ID & Player Insight processes through player grading, selection & player management meetings.
  • Support the monitoring of goalkeepers through Talent ID player reporting when required.
  • Support the creation of effective Individual Player Development Plans (IDP).
  • Contribute to the creation of an outstanding performance, learning & development environment for players & staff.
  • Establish & maintain positive relationships with all key stakeholders, including club coaches & multidisciplinary teams.
  • Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.
  • As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.

What You'll Need

Essential for the role:

Knowledge

  • UEFA B Licence
  • UEFA B Goalkeeping Licence

Experience

  • Experience of working with goalkeepers with a record of high performance.
  • Experience of working in a highperforming sporting environment.
  • Deep knowledge of Technical, Tactical, Physical, Psychological & social components of the game.
  • Ability to develop & create a player development plan.
  • Growth mindset & evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Explicit knowledge & understanding of the England GK DNA.

Technical Skills

  • Extensive experience of Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Advanced reporting writing skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office
  • Ability to create presentations and present to a wide range of players, MDT staff & key stakeholders

Beneficial to have:

Knowledge

  • UEFA A Licence
  • UEFA A Goalkeeping Licence


Advanced Youth Award
  • Goalkeeping
  • Teaching Qualification and/or background

Experience

  • Experience of coaching in the women's game.
  • Experience of working within the Women's Professional Game (inc. Academies) and/or the England Women's Talent Pathway.
  • Experience of International football

Technical Skills

  • Experience of working with Sportscode
  • Experience of working with Hudl
