Basingstoke Crematorium opened in June 1998 and is set in 22 acres of well-maintained grounds. We are located close to the M3 motorway and A303/A30, and are ideally placed to serve the communities of North East Hampshire.

Basingstoke Crematorium is looking for a compassionate, dedicated individual to join our team as an Administrator

What Will I Be Doing as An Administrator?


As an Administrator, you will be responsible for liaising directly with Funeral Directors and Ministers, ensuring any specific requests from the family regarding the chapel set-up are carried out.


Other duties will include:

  • Inputting the cremation and burial paperwork onto our bespoke online/computer system to comply with Industry regulations.
  • Preparation of all documentation to facilitate the daily operation of the crematorium.
  • Maintain accurate records to comply with industry regulations
  • Liaise with Funeral Directors, Ministers and families/clients ensuring that any specific requests are inputted in the database regarding services that are carried out
  • Preparation of banking, client invoices and supporting credit control with branches
  • Maintaining accurate, indexed records of funeral arrangements
  • Maintaining confidentiality when processing legal burial and cremation documents
  • Ensure that stationery stocks are kept at a reasonable level, without shortage or overspending
  • General admin duties e.g. scanning and dealing with paperwork

What Do I Need?

  • Previous experience within a Customer Service and Administrative position.
  • Proactive approach and ability to communicate effectively with a range of people
  • Presentable at all times, acting with professional conduct and showing empathy.
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential.
  • Supply the necessary documentation for a full DBS check
  • A driving license/own vehicle due to the remote location of this branch.

Advantageous:

  • Previous experience in the industry, though this is not required, as full training will be provided.
