Are you a Registered Manager with experience of managing good or outstanding service for people with learning disabilities? We're looking for somebody to take up a role within a forward-thinking, high quality care provider to manage our service.

The Registered Manager will be an essential part of Azure's growth and aid our care home services in Washington.

We are looking for an experienced registered manager with a minimum of two years' experience within the role who will be keen to develop and progress the service going forward.

The Associate Directors role


You'll be the Registered Manager of a high quality person centered service that supports people with learning disabilities in a care home or supported living environment.

The company has a great reputation and your focus will be to oversee the management of services, ensuring standards are high.


Your duties will include

  • Ensuring Support is centered on individual's needs, goals and outcomes.
  • Ensuring that the service is complying with CQC standards and maintain the good rating within the inspection process.
  • Ensuring the management of the staff rota ensuring that staff resources are used to their potential.
  • Managing the staff team, ensuring that they are fully supported and have regular supervision and appraisal meetings.
  • Supporting our team managers to ensure that care and support plans are comprehensive and updated and reflect the changing needs of clients.
  • Recruitment of new staff along with team managers.
  • The setting up of new care packages.
  • Being part of the oncall rota.
  • Somebody who has worked as a Registered Manager / Supported Living Manager / Service Manager / Outreach Manager / Locality Manager / Domiciliary Care Manager or similar previously.
  • Somebody who genuinely cares for clients and who is passionate and loyal to the job. You should be enthusiastic about development and growth and understand how to increase a care provision whilst managing high standards of care.
  • Someone who has extensive experience of working with clients with Learning disabilities.
  • Someone qualified to NVQ level 5 or QCF level 5 in health and social care.
  • Someone who can demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act, the Mental capacity act and CQC compliance standards.
  • Someone with a cando attitude and be flexible to meet the demands of the service.
  • Someone who is a people person.

Essential requirement - you need to be a driver with your own vehicle

Experience

  • Registered manager experience: 12 years plus (preferred).
  • Service Manager experience 2 years (preferred).
  • Supported living experience: 2 years minimum (preferred).

Education and Training


A degree in health and social care or a related field is often required, along with relevant certifications and training, such as NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Care Services.


Relevant Experience


You should have several years of experience working in the care sector, including experience in managing and leading a service.


Knowledge of CQC Regulations


You must have a thorough understanding of CQC regulations and requirements for care homes, as well as knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.


Management and Leadership Skills


You should have strong management and leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop staff, manage resources effectively, and implement and monitor policies and procedures.


Communication and Interpersonal Skills


You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will need to liaise with residents, their families, staff, and external agencies.

In addition to these qualifications and experience requirements, you will need to undergo a thorough vetting process, including an enhanced DBS check alongside being registered with the CQC.
