We are seeking an experienced Wellbeing and Inclusion Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our residents.


Located in a residential area of Brixton with excellent transport links, Hillyard House provides apartments and communal facilities for vulnerable adults with ongoing care needs, including over 55s and those with mental health needs.


As a Wellbeing and Inclusion Assistant you will utilise your communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with our residents providing the highest level of customer service, creating varied individual and group activities that will engage residents and integrate them into the wider community.


We value our team and encourage learning and progression through our comprehensive induction programme, as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression.

The role of Wellbeing and Inclusion Assistant will include:

  • Providing front of house reception duties
  • Developing innovative and varied individual and group activities
  • Promoting activities for residents such as quizzes, bingo and exercise classes and inspiring them to get involved
  • Assisting and encouraging residents to access and maintain a level of integration into the wider community
  • Working with other staff to ensure a clean and comfortable environment is maintained
  • Escorting residents to off site appointments, such as GP visits

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of developing and leading resident involvement activities
  • Previous experience working with a similar client group is desirable
  • Good interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Experience with working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
  • Literacy and numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C English and Maths
