As part of the Production Planning team the Production Scheduler will be responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive production plan consistent with plant capacity, workload, and resource availability, that is aligned to the Integrated Business Plan.


The Production Scheduler will work to understand current and future capacity constraints, ensuring requirements are flowed into the Production Management Team, providing feedback into the Sales & Operations Review concerning forecast production delivery dates as well as any risks and issues impacting operational delivery.


Other responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the Master Production Schedule; working crossfunctionally to create an effective and efficient schedule, that meets Customer requirements.
  • Defining and disseminating detailed departmental production plans, operational targets and outputs needed to support the ontime execution of the Production Schedule.
  • Identifying capacity risks and opportunities
  • Proactively working with Production Controllers and Planners to improve the routing and planning data within IFS
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor style and content to audience.
  • Familiarity with the standard MS Office suite, with an enhanced ability to perform data analysis within MS Excel desirable.
  • Comprehensive understanding of a manufacturing or production environment, with the ability to balance and coordinate multiple Customer demands.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of Capacity Planning
  • Considerable experience of developing production schedules within an assembly manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of using ERP scheduling tools, preferably IFS.
  • A certification in the field of supply chain would be advantageous, but is not a necessity.


Based in the UK, with operations in Canada, Marshall Land Systems specialises in the design and production of deployable operational infrastructure and mission support for humanitarian, defence and security operations across the globe.


Other core services include the integration of complex systems into a range of vehicles for use by the military and security services including explosive ordnance disposal and battlefield ambulances all underpinned by a full in-life managed service provision to ensure customers' equipment is available where and when they need it.
