What will you do?
Under direction of the Logistics Team Leader to ensure Clinical Trial Products are delivered fit for purpose, on time and with flawless executions for the customer, at the right cost.
Understand the impact of non-compliance with standards, policies, processes and procedures as set out within GPM, FCS SOP's and Health and Safety Policies.
Responsibilities:
- Management of Import and Export process
- Supporting the team and the business in the absence of the Team Leader.
- Proactively handle critical issues relating to client / internal enquiries and issues.
- Ensure relevant order related paperwork is filed in accordance with regulatory and study requirements.
- Day to day interaction with couriers.
- Interaction with all relevant internal departments to ensure the timely completion of order associated activities and advance where required.
- Providing cross training of other staff upon request from the line manager.
- Drive Logistics Right First Time and Key Performance metrics including completion of PRs and CAPAs.
- Participate in business improvement projects across FCS to improve internal processes
- Be involved in the process of recruitment ensuring that resource levels meet business plan requirements_._
- Support to train and develop new starters.
- Update existing procedures and build new SOPs as the need arises.
- Recommend best solution for shipments from a customs clearance perspective.
- Be point of contact for escalation relating to Logistics activities.
- Interaction with various departments to support any Logistics based queries.
- Reasonable exposure to client with regard to client meetings.
- Undertake ad hoc duties as advised and agreed by Logistics Manager.

- Knowledge and exposure to logistics is desirable but not essential.
