We are looking for an experienced administrator/receptionist for our Acute hospital here in Bury St Edmunds. The role is a permanent position.

  • We are able to offer some flexibility with the hours, we can offer the following:
  • 37.5 hours across a varied shift pattern from 8am to 8:30pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.
  • 22.5 hours across a shift pattern of 4pm to 8:30pm Monday to Friday
  • 19 hours across a shift pattern of 10am to 8pm Saturday and Sunday.
Your selection of the above, can be discussed further and confirmed at or after the interview phase.

Main duties of the job:


Wedgwood House, located within the grounds of West Suffolk Hospital is looking for an extremely professional, conscientious, calm and confident individual to be a part of the Reception / Administration Team.

Previous administration experience is essential. Full training will be given for the specific role and our systems.

  • NVQ 2 Customer Services or equivalent

  • Understanding and experience of working with a full range of secretarial proceedures and systems gained through practice at intermediate level
  • Working on own initiative with mínimal supervision. Working under pressure.
