Job Title: Critical Care Pharmacist at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust
We are seeking a highly skilled individual with clinical expertise, initiative, and exceptional communication abilities to join our team. As the Critical Care Pharmacist, you will play a key role in delivering specialized pharmacy services to our intensive care unit and supporting surgical patient care.
- To deliver specialized clinical pharmacy services to designated wards
- To provide supervision and guidance to the pharmacy team in Critical Care and Surgery
- To ensure safe and cost-effective medication use in line with clinical guidelines
- To lead and manage pharmacy staff in Critical Care and Surgery
- To collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to implement best practices
- To monitor and optimize medicines expenditure across the Trust

Qualifications and Training
Essential
- Masters in Pharmacy Degree - MPharm
- 1 year pre-registration training Professional registration with General Pharmaceutical Council
- Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
Desirable
- Membership of Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain
- Independent Prescriber
- Leadership/management qualification

- Extensive post-registration hospital experience
- Relevant clinical experience in Critical Care
- Demonstrates excellent clinical knowledge
- Experience in project management and service development
- Experience with Parenteral Nutrition
Desirable
- Knowledge of pharmacy computer systems
- Risk management and assessment skills
- Understanding of digital tools in clinical practice
- Business plan development
Skills/Abilities

- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Computer literate with electronic prescribing systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities
