Exciting opportunities have arisen to join our Adult Therapy Services Department in the Critical Care, Cardiac & Surgery Team as a band 4 Therapy Technician. We are a dynamic department and value all members of our team to help provide high standard quality care as part of University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

Therapy Technicians work alongside Occupational Therapists & Physiotherapists to support the delivery of effective treatment and rehabilitation plans to enable patients to recover from illness, injury or surgery and be safely discharged from hospital. Working as part of an integrated therapy team this role involves working with a range of problems and conditions in an acute hospital environment. There will be some administrative tasks as part of the role

The successful candidates will have excellent communication and motivation skills, experience of working as part of a team, and great time management skills. Previous experience of working within a rehab role in the NHS or a rehabilitation setting is required.

When working in an inpatient setting, Therapy Technicians will contribute to a weekend service (currently one Saturday every 4 weeks, with a compensatory day off in the week) and a bank holiday service (2 bank holidays per year). A flexible approach to working is therefore essential.
