Collections Coordinator

The Collections Co-ordinator oversees the delivery of academic and public research access (remotely and in person) to these collections. Their responsibilities are to:
- Oversee and deliver academic and public research access to all ASC collections and locations to include:
- Co-ordinate answering, logging, dissemination and follow up of enquiries. Including liaising with senior colleagues to provide advice on services and collections available to users.
- Co-ordinate staff rotas to ensure appropriate access to collections for users (including Searchroom, Copying services, and Virtual Search Room)
- Co-ordinate senior staff rotas (Overnight on-call, Duty Managers, and Search Room on-call Archivist/Curator).
- Supervise and Co-ordinate Search Room booking, production, handling and user experience.
- Oversee the delivery of the research and publication copying service for users.
- On a day-to-day basis oversee (with the assistance of senior colleagues) the adherence by users to the Search Room rules, Library Regulations and ULC Code of Conduct
- Oversee the accuracy and co-ordinate updating and maintenance of the user, enquiries and slips database by all staff.
- Support the teaching and engagement activities of colleagues by organising the retrieval and return of the necessary items from collections;
- Assist and co-ordinate collections management work, such as reshelving and auditing, listing and numbering of documents and basic preservation tasks.
- Co-ordination and supervision of all Collections Assistant(s) and/or other colleagues delivering this service, according to set services standards, will be required.
- In co-operation with senior staff contribute to, co-ordinate and implement ongoing process and service reviews.
