Whatyou'll do

You’ll play a keyrole in delivering risk management initiatives that support theeffective application of the operational risk framework and conductrisk obligations, with an opportunity to improve the understandingand effective management of risk across thebank.

We’ll look to you tosupport the business in managing the risks which exist, making suremechanisms are in place to identify, report, manage and mitigaterisk within a defined risk appetite, working in conjunction withthe second line ofdefence.

Day-to-day, you’llbe:

  • Developing andsupporting the interrogation and analysis of relevant managementinformation, supporting effective risk management on the part ofyour stakeholders
  • Controlling resources thatcontribute to the development of guidance notes and trainingmaterial and content, upskilling the broader first line of defencefunction and businesses
  • Supporting managementin facilitating regular stakeholder meetings and key forums throughpreparing and issuing of supporting paperwork and assessingregulatory impacts
  • Building and maintainingtrusted working partnerships across the bank and our franchises, toinform and gather intelligence on emerging and future risks andcontrols

Theskills you'll need

To besuccessful in this role, you’ll demonstrate knowledge of how alarge financial services organisation operates and bring experienceof working in a first or second line of defence risk role. Atechnology related background would bepreferable.

You’ll alsobring:

  • Knowledge ofrisk assessment and scenario analysismethodologies
  • Business or operationalexperience
  • Excellent communication andcollaboration skills
  • Understanding andexperience of IT General Controls
  • Understandingand experience of IT Control Frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, NISTor ISO
