The Role
As Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Executive, you will maximise revenue opportunities in the areas of group reservations, conferences and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversions. The GCE Sales Executive will interact frequently with Guests and customers with the intention of earning repeat and expanded business.
You will also - but not be limited to:
- Focus on a consistently executed up-selling approach
- Maximising revenue and occupancies, cross-selling between multiple properties
- Negotiate budgets with customers
- Delivering best-practice in terms of customer service to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Responding to enquiries within specified deadlines to ensure all potential sales opportunities are identified and followed up
- Planning of group stays and events and liaising with relevant departments to ensure successful completion of group stays and events
- Participate in hotel promotional activities
- Preparing and distributing weekly function sheets with all relevant information to ensure events run smoothly
- Maintaining existing customer relationships and driving new business
The Person
An ideal candidate for the role of Cluster Groups, Conferences and Events Sales Executive, is a person with a clear passion to go above and beyond our guests' expectations. You are able to use your intuition and creativity to deliver a wonderful experience for everyone. The ability to multitask and prioritise is important, as well as the ability to work well under pressure with a broad smile. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, produce quality work and be flexible to work as per business needs.
