Thesuccessful candidate will have current NMC registration, with postregistration experience including either acute/surgical, outpatientenvironment or pre assessment. The post holder will be expected toprovide leadership day to day in the high performing Pre-AdmissionDepartment and to work collaboratively with the Head of clinicalservices and clinical Lead to develop the service acting as a rolemodel to junior staff and contributing to their management anddevelopment.

Duties&Responsibilities:

  • Leadthe Pre-Admission Department and support in the day to dayorganisation of clinicschedules.
  • Undertakea range of clinical activities including supervision andpre-admissionclinics.
  • Toparticipate in Clinical Governance agenda, ensuring audits areundertaken and the investigation ofincidents/complaints.
  • Supportin the development of policies and procedures to ensure care andservices aresafe.
  • Beresponsible for the supervision of a group of staff, allocatingwork and encouraging staff development and undertake appraisals/jobperformancereview.
  • Supportingthe Ambulatory Clinical Manager with staff absencemanagement
     and rosteringstaff to ensure efficient use of staff hours within thePre-Admission department.
  • Supportthe H to achieve KPIs and qualityindicators.
  • Collaborationwith other departments involved in the pre-admissionprocess.
  • Demonstrateoutstanding clinical practice at all times and to be accountablefor ownactions.
  • Provideprofessionalsupervision.
