Job Description:

Role Purpose: The MGS S2P Indirects GPO leads the creation of the detailed global design for the Indirect Procurement functional area and provide valuable end-to-end subject matter expertise to the segments for deployment. The GPO works closely with the MGS E2E S2P Business Transformation Process Lead, the Business and Systems Integrators, and the segment GPOs to create a future-fit end-to-end process design that is fit for deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Global Template Design​

  • Identify and document detailed business scenarios​

  • Provide detail of resources required full time and part time on program​

  • Participate in designing roles & responsibilities, deliverables, timelines, etc​

  • Provide input to the design schedule and list of business attendees​

  • Support solution design and deployment by providing deep Mars experience across indirect procurement topics as input to design workshops​

  • Facilitate the resolution of bottlenecks and issues​

  • Participate in design workshops and workshop preview sessions to ensure the presented material is relevant to the topic and to Mars; facilitate/lead discussion when needed.​

  • Lead / Participate in discussions with the Design Authority for the L3/L4 processes and ensure outputs are incorporated into the detailed design and deployment plans​

  • Monitor outputs to ensure that they will be robust for build and deployment (i.e., quality and completeness)​

  • Identify Changes and work with Change Managers to prepare Change Impact assessments and possible solutions​

Country Validation

  • Support the approach and scope of country validation​

  • Support preparation and delivery of the country validation activities, ensuring alignment with wider Digital Core programme and country engagement activities ​

Project Management: 

  • Work with the PMO to develop, deliver and manage the activity plan to ensure delivery to time, quality and budget

  • Propose and instigate corrective actions to course correct, escalating for support in a timely manner where required

Team Leadership: 

  • Supports the Transformation Lead and PMO in leading a multi-functional team covering all aspects of transformation, to include for example, onboarding, roles & responsibilities, supporting/coaching, issue resolution, offboarding, handover, ways of working

  • Lead a team of Sub Process Leads and/or Subject Matter Experts

Key deliverables

  • Business scenarios identified

  • Process design (flows and narratives) and documentation reviewed to ensure fit for purpose and ready for sign off

  • Holistic assessment of change impacts on Indirect Procurement  specific to Ariba and related edge systems, and implications incorporated into Design and/or Deployment

  • Deployment plans agreed with segments

Skills and Knowledge
  • Deep understanding of all aspects of the Mars S2P end to end process area for Indirects

  • Working knowledge of SAP Ariba

  • Team leadership in a virtual, multi-cultural environment across time-zones

  • Strong communicator, written and verbal (English speaking)
