Job description

Our HR administrator's work within the People Directorates Transactional Service Delivery Team.

This role will be a part of the friendly and supportive HR Wellbeing team, with the opportunity in the future to support other teams within the wider group which will expand your knowledge and experience.

The successful candidate will be involved in providing advice and guidance to all stakeholders, ensuring that referrals are processed in a timely manner and that documentation is available to maintain the efficient and effective day to day activities of the HR Transactional support to the agency.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Undertake relevant administrative actions by processing transactional requests or collate documentation, providing high level of customer service.

Provide advice, support and guidance to all internal and external stakeholders ensuring that support is provided in a timely manner.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in order to progress work.

Maintain spreadsheets and registers providing regular and one-off requests of data when requested, including historical data, ensuring that all data protection protocols are followed.

About you

To be successful in role, you must have good administrative skills.

You must have experience of working in a customer service environment and have the ability to prioritise and plan your workload.

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

You must also have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.  

Additional Information

This role can be based in Swansea, Nottingham, Bristol, your presence at one of these locations will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you. We operate a hybrid working model giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work. Our expectation is that you will spend a minimum 60% of your time at your base location. Visits to other DVSA sites or work locations count towards this.

Please note, there may be a requirement to travel with overnight stays, as per business needs - these will always be scheduled in advance. 

This post is offered on a Fixed Term Appointment (FTA) basis to complete a finite piece of work.  

Permanent Civil Servants will not be expected to change their employment status from permanent to fixed term appointment.

Internal applicants will be appointed on inward loan and subject to the terms of the agreed inward loan agreement. The expectation is that you will return to your previous post at the end of the loan period, which will need to be agreed with your line manager in advance.

If you're employed by a non-departmental public body (NDPB) by moving jobs this will involve a change of employer and you may break the statutory rules on continuity of employment.
