Job Summary

We currently have a vacancy for an IT Developer to join our IT Department at Yale. The IT Developer is a vital member of the Information Technology Team. This role primarily focuses on providing technical support for and to assist in the development, operation and maintenance of the College’s IT systems ensuring that the needs of learners, colleagues, partners, employers and other stakeholders are met. 

Essential Requirements

To prioritise own workload and use the developer helpdesk to respond to support queries from staff and students

To uphold network and data security principles and follow established standard operating procedures

To develop and monitor the transfer of data between both internal College systems and external platforms, via secure and robust methods

Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, database administration and development.

To undertake systems development utilising programming and development skills in Powershell and .Net to support efficient, secure and accurate data processes

To produce comprehensive documentation of all systems specification and development undertaken and develop appropriate material to support and contribute to staff training for designated systems

Welsh language skills are desirable/essential for this position.
