Business Development Manager

About the Role
This role will support Queen Mary researchers in the Faculty of Science & Engineering (S&E) to develop academic research partnerships with businesses. Within the team, the post-holder will have a particular responsibility to support the development (with QMUL academics) of business led Innovate UK collaborative (CR&D) grants, UK public sector research grants, and other business funded research contracts. Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager S&E, the post-holder will be required to interact and work cooperatively with the wider Business Development and Partnerships team. This role is client (internal and external) facing and the post-holder is expected to be at the clients’ site or on campus for three days per week.
About You
If you are a business development and income generation professional, with relevant experience in and knowledge of Science and Engineering/ HE sector, writing/reviewing research grant funding proposals and experience in submitting public sector grants/bids/tenders, then we look forward to receiving your application.

The role is based within an established Business and Partnerships team that is part of Queen Mary Universityof London’s (QMUL) Research Services Directorate.
