The E.ON I&C Pillar combines the current nPower nBS & E.ON B2B businesses to create a new £8billion revenue business serving c60,000 customers and around 300,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.

We have an exciting opportunity for x2 Client Leads to join our team. For this role you will target, prospect, influence, negotiate and deliver new business renewal and growth opportunities within the market environment delivering bespoke contract/product structures across a portfolio of sophisticated clients. ­This is a home-based role with travel (car allowance provided) and a requirement to work at the Solihull office when required.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the internal commercial evaluation and I&C’s internal commercial evaluation and approval processes.
  • Engage a targeted group of market counterparties within sector, through events, speaking engagements and networking to build relationships with senior market participants that will increase understanding of our market position, our competitors, and to identify opportunities.
  • Work with the Sales Manager to identify and manage high level critical corporate relationships across key clients to ensure that ongoing and future negotiations are supported at board/decision maker level. 
  • Utilise industry knowledge and expertise to develop a wide range of high-level external networks that will build and enhance I&C’s reputation, highlight capabilities and ultimately generate opportunities that will add value to the bottom line.
  • Manage the resolution of complex issues and disputes arising as result of the implementation of contractual terms, customer breach of terms, changing circumstances.
  • Lead corporate account planning process within assigned sector to deliver business plan targets across I&C’s product suite.
  • Develop a Solutions Sales approach to support clients with energy efficiencies and savings.
What we need from you
  • Strong commercial and technical skills with substantial experience gained at a board level in the energy industry (or comparable sector).
  • Track record in targeting, negotiating, and executing significant and complex commercial agreements.
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to deliver complex messages simply, clearly and concisely in a number of forums including presenting at customer/industry events.
  • A strong understanding of the UK Energy Market.
  • Able to maintain commercial focus and performance delivery in high pressured delivery focussed environment.
  • A full UK driving license.
