Role Definition:

ABP Bridge of Allan are looking for an Accounts Assistant to come and join the team to provide efficient and effective accountant support to the Financial Controller and accounts team.

Primarily

Responsibilities:

Preparation of the weekly accounts

Labour variance analysis

Assist with the preparation of monthly accounts

Balance sheet reconciliation preparation

Stock Control and weekly reconciliations

Monthly/quarterly fixed asset verification and capex monitoring

Provide cover for sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll, where applicable

Additional

Responsibilities:

- Understanding the need for confidentiality when dealing with both internal and external information

- Flexibility to work outside of job specification when necessary to assist in overall objectives being achieved

- Ensuring that they do not compromise the health and safety of others and themselves in the workplace; the post holder has a legal responsibility to take reasonable care for the health and safety of him/herself and of the other people who may be affected by acts or omissions at work

Co-operating with any legal steps the Company may take to fulfil its obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAW). (Refer to the Staff Handbook for the full Health and

Safety policy)

Experience/Skills:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a background in accounts or have sufficient knowledge of accounting
Practice and a related qualification, or working towards a qualification
Previous experience in a similar role is required

Personal Qualities:
High level of self-motivation, and target driven Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in an excellent manner Excellent attention to detail Advanced understanding and experience of excel is required
• Flexible and adaptable in approach

• To be a strong and highly motivated team focused individual with a strong team ethic communicating and liaising successfully across departments, whilst delivering individual work to a high standard.

• To be well organised and a good timekeeper

• Ability to multi-task across several projects and prioritise work accordingly
