Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Preferably a working knowledge of regulations FAR/CS 25-561, EASA Part 21 J, ARP 5526 and Airframer specifications

Be familiar with most aspects of Aerospace engineering techniques

Be able to plan and manage own and a limited number of others stress activities for a specific program

Manages self and technically supports junior stress engineers to ensure tasks are completed to requirements of time, cost and quality

Assist with identifying certification test failure risk, an ensure it is managed effectively and minimised with the use of appropriate analytical methods and judgement

Prepare, review and approve hand calculations, linear static, non-linear, crash, multi-body dynamic and optimisation FE models for seating products to support the design and certification process, plus the in-service life of the product

Identify structural design issues and recommend improvements and alternate solutions

Supporting root cause analysis (e.g. 8D/Ishikawa)

Provide expertise in continuous improvement of department processes, methods and manuals

Be innovative in their approach to problem solving. Ensure that innovative and creative ideas are supported, evaluated and investigated to conclusion
