In 2020, Barbour launched Wax for Life, an overarching name for all of Barbour's wax services designed to encourage customers to extend the life of their wax garments. Wax for Life includes re-waxing and repairs (first introduced in 1921) and Barbour Re-Loved an upcycling circularity initiative. Each year over 70,000 wax garments are sent back to Barbour globally to be repaired, rewaxed or altered.

Position Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Senior Ecommerce Trading Manager to join the Barbour Ecommerce team on a temporary Maternity Cover, based at South Shields. You will own the trading and be accountable for driving the performance across all collections, overseeing the global trading strategy, own forecasts & manage seasonal promotions and overall online performance for our global websites. You will understand the principles of retail merchandising and be able to make strong recommendations on ranging, sizing and availability based on experience and data. You will be a motivated leader, who is a natural problem solver with excellent stakeholder management skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day trading of the websites, driving KPIs to increase performance and accelerate eCommerce growth. Own the trading calendar including product launches, promotions, and markdown events. Manage and support the Global E-Commerce Trade Team developing new workflows and maximizing the team's potential. Be the driving force of E-Comm Trade, ensuring a seamless relationship between Forecasting, Warehouse & Customer Services ensuring forecasts are shared enabling departments to plan resource appropriately. Inspire, lead, motivate and develop your team through clear learning and development targets. Own all commercial initiatives from an ecommerce perspective. Work with local market teams to develop strategies & improve local/global alignment. Work closely with Marketing, Content and Creative teams to drive and challenge the online metrics (visits, conversion, AOV). Contribute to forecast / reforecast plans and continually challenge risks and mitigate with trading opportunities. Collaborate on performance marketing plan. Work with central DTC Buying & Merchandising functions to plan and align product selection, merchandising, seasonal launches, campaigns and the multi drop strategy to ensure visibility and global alignment to the commercial calendar. Lead trade meetings giving insight into product performance, ecommerce metrics, global marketing proposals & future strategies. Collaborate with brick and mortar leads to ensure cross channel collaboration. Keep track of product allocation, supply, and logistics. Liaise with the warehouse and Ops teams to ensure the understanding of expected peaks in trade for planning providing detailed daily forecasts. Display an in-depth, customer-focused knowledge of premium lifestyle market and buying trends, staying abreast of what is new in the world of ecommerce. Analysis of data using Excel, Google Analytics, in-house reporting systems. Skills and Experience:

Significant previous digital trading experience, preferably gained within a Retail environment. Experience of leading, mentoring and coaching a digital trading team. Experience working with multiple sites, brands, and stakeholders, building strong relationships. International site management experience is a plus. Highly numerate, with excellent planning and analytical capabilities. Experienced in retail merchandising and delivering efficiencies in stock management. Excellent Excel knowledge. Benefits:
