Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives that have complex learning needs?
Have you got experience working with children or adults who have special educational needs?
Monarch Education are working closely with a SEND school in Telford. This a full-time role (Mon-Fri) 8:30-3:30pm, term time only. However, the school may accept part-time hours for the right candidate. We are looking for somebody with experience working as a Support worker, or perhaps in a care setting previously. The school will accept those with less experience, but an education related degree.
The Role:
As a Support Worker you will be required to work with Primary-Secondary age pupils providing support academically, socially and emotionally throughout the school day. The pupils have a variety of complex needs as well as some pupils requiring physical and personal support. You will be required to work on a 1:1 basis with some pupils, and in small groups with others. You may be required to work outside and attend school trips with pupils.
The ideal candidate:
Will be passionate about caring for young people Have experience working with children or young adults with SEMH needs Confident in building positive relationships with both children and staff Is professional, calm and understanding with a nurturing manner Will have experience using different behaviour management strategies Is positive, a forward thinker and able to work well within a teamBenefits of working with Monarch Education:
