Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle management of all  IT assets within ServiceNow that includes hardware related equipment like laptops, monitor and other consumables. The role ensures that assets are efficiently utilized, tracked, and maintained to support the organization's operations and strategic goals

Asset Tracking and Inventory Management
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all IT assets
  • Track asset movement and location throughout their lifecycle
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy by coordinating with our third party vendor
Asset Procurement and Deployment
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to acquire necessary IT assets.
  • Ensure timely deployment and setup of hardware and software for end-users through our third party
  • Manage asset tagging and registration processes

Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition to disposal
  • Plan and manage asset refresh cycles and upgrades along with the forecast for new hires
  • Ensure proper decommissioning and disposal of obsolete or damaged assets in compliance with environmental and data security regulations
Cost Management
  • Monitor and analyze IT asset-related expenses
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through efficient asset utilization and procurement strategies
  • Prepare and manage budgets for IT asset purchases and maintenance
Policy Development and Compliance
  • Develop and implement IT asset management policies and procedures as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on asset management best practices
Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Validate and generate regular reports on asset status, utilization, and lifecycle metrics through help from third party supporting ITAM Operations
  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders
Vendor and Stakeholder Management
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers
  • Coordinate with various departments to understand asset requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals
Innovation
  • Assist in coming up with use cases on automation, leveraging the Gen-AI capabilities
Qualifications
  • Technical Knowledge - Understanding of IT hardware and software, networking, and systems administration.
  • Analytical Skills - Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
  • Attention to Detail - Meticulous in tracking and managing assets.
  • Communication Skills - Effective communication with vendors, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Organizational Skills - Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve asset-related issues.
  • Software Proficiency - Familiarity with asset management software and tools
