We are looking for an experienced People Advisor, who will work across the People Services Team to support the management of ER cases and general HR Advice and support to the People Partners. This is a great opportunity for a keen, proactive Advisor to develop their HR skills in a fast paced and supportive environment.

About you…

The successful candidate will:

Have some experience of working as an HR Advisor, supporting general HR services.

Experience of advising on a full range of employee relations cases, providing accurate and timely advice and practical support

Up to date knowledge of HR best practice, employment law and current thinking and developments in HR.

Ability to identify and assess people-related issues, identifying risk and developing a range of tailored solutions.

Ability to analyse and understand business workforce data to support evidence-led improvement.

Communicate openly and honestly and explain things clearly, both in writing and verbally.

Ability to develop effective and collaborative working relationships with individuals and teams.

Digitally competent including Microsoft Office skills.

Ability to work in a confidential environment with high integrity and personal credibility.

Focus on continuous learning and development, seeking to improve services and learn new ways of working.

What you’ll do…

Operate as a proactive member of the wider People team, supporting with team projects across the full generalist spectrum, including EDI, recruitment and Wellbeing initiatives.

Take responsibility for a full range of ER casework, administering advice, and practical support, and understanding when to ask for further help where needed.

Proactively support the People Partners to provide general advice and support Trivallis’ managers.

Proactively support the Head of People Services to develop the operational excellence of the People Services Team.

 What you’ll be responsible for…

Providing advice on key areas such as effective Employee Relations, absence management and the implementation of Reasonable Adjustments.

Support the People Partners to manage general queries, manager documentation, and supporting risk management within the team.

Supporting the Head of People Services in the operational needs of the team, including record keeping, risk management and project planning

Delivering an effective recruitment support package to the organisation, ensuring that policy and procedures are adhered to while also encouraging innovation and new ways of attracting top talent. Working with the wider People Services team, implementing any necessary additional recruitment and retention initiatives for the recruitment service as a whole.  

Supporting line managers with the effective management of sickness absence and return to work from long term absences, to include occupational health referrals, supporting reasonable adjustments and follow ups.

Supporting culture change through effective staff involvement, team working, engagement and staff well-being.

Utilising workforce data to support planning and delivering improved performance in workforce key performance indicators (KPIs), including vacancy rates, sickness absence, training compliance, staff survey results, turnover, exit feedback etc.
