Leading tourism company going through growth is now looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join the Finance team.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Management of invoices for overseas suppliers and ancillaries.

- Matching purchase orders with invoices; investigating queries and closing down all old purchase orders.

- Ensuring queries and payments are processed on time and assisting the business with any investigations relating to finance matters.

- Raising and processing self-billing invoices.

- Processing the weekly payment run .

- Processing staff expenses; credit cards, and overhead invoices.

- Processing damage claims within a timely manner.

- Maintenance and housekeeping of the creditors ledger.

- Taking full ownership of the payments inbox.

- Taking payments from customers as and when required.

- Managing adhoc administrative and financial activities as required.

- Additional duties as deemed reasonable and necessary to meet the needs of the business.

Skills & Experience:

  • Logical with an aptitude towards data processing and data relationships.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to work comfortably in an open-plan team environment
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • A good understanding of accounting principles through either gaining the relevant experience or studying for accounting qualifications.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Sage would be advantageous but not essential
  • Some experience of working with different currencies would be desirable.
  • The ability to work to deadlines and manage workloads effectively whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
