Accounts Payable Manager Job Description

Robert Walters Group is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Manager to join our team in Burton. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable Process Management: Oversee the establishment and monitoring of core AP KPIs, including weekly and monthly dashboard reporting and early warning escalation systems.
  • Payment Run Planning and Execution: Ensure smooth planning and operation of regular payment runs, maintaining adequate controls and checks to ensure correct and accurate payments are made to all creditors.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Provide excellent customer service and manage good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and the Treasury function.
  • AP Reporting and Compliance: Ensure the Group is kept up-to-date with all external reporting requirements and oversee AP month-end tasks, reviewing journals and posting within the system (SAP).
  • Team Management and Development: Manage, mentor, and develop your team to ensure sustained growth, knowledge, and up-skilling.
