Our client is looking for a clinical trainer to deliver work-based qualifications to learners within their workplaces, to a required standard and within set timescales, and to ensure that all learners are successful in their learning programmes by their planned end dates.

Main duties and responsibilities: Monitoring the quality of assessment practice on Clinical, Health & Social Care qualifications including Functional Skills qualifications against the requirements set by the awarding organisation s. Monitoring targets for achievement to ensure timely and overall achievement of the qualifications. Contribute to the improvement of assessment practice to ensure that the organisation can meet the Ofsted requirements for the Education Inspection Framework (EIF).

Key Accountabilities:

  • Enable learner s successful and timely achievement of qualifications through the effective management of an allocated caseload in line with company guidelines.
  • Ensure sponsoring employers fully understand their responsibilities in support of successful completion of programmes to the required standards.
  • Satisfy all the required standards in the delivery and documentation of the contracts, with particular regard to efficiency, quality and compliance.

This is a highly specialist role that will require the following core competencies:

  • H&SC up to L5 or equivalent
  • Clinical - Healthcare up to L3 or equivalent
  • English and Maths Functional Skills qualifications at Level 2 or above.

Qualifications/ Knowledge, Skills/ Abilities and Experience required to carry out the Role:

  • A1 or V1 or D34 qualification.
  • Current working knowledge and experience of best practice in assessment/quality assurance.
  • Effective communication, organisation and planning skills.
  • A detailed understanding of the current Apprenticeship reforms
  • A good knowledge of Awarding Bodies
  • A good knowledge of safeguarding requirements and processes
  • An in-depth knowledge of Further Education and government funded training
  • Occupationally competent in Supporting Teaching & Learning
  • Excellent coaching skills
  • Own transport and an up-to-date licence
