About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Course Tutor, responsible for leading the strategic planning and delivery of the Personal and Professional Development aspects of our Psychology Training Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a coherent and integrated PPD component within the program
  • Lead the strategic development and allocation of first-year clinical practice placements
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the clinical practice component of the program
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and committees to oversee and provide high-quality training in clinical psychology
  • Undertake clinically relevant research independently and supervise and coordinate the research of others
Requirements
  • First degree in psychology or equivalent qualification
  • Postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society and Health and Care Professions Council
  • BABCP accreditation as a supervisor and/or trainer
  • Significant clinical experience working as a consultant clinical psychologist in an NHS setting
  • Extensive experience of teaching, training, and supervision
  • Experience of conducting research, including publications
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Research degree (PhD, DPhil, or similar)
  • Post-doctoral training in CBT and other relevant specialized areas of psychological practice
  • Accredited with the BABCP at least at practitioner level
  • Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
  • Qualified as a Systemic Psychotherapist registered with UKCP
