We are currently looking for an Investment Capability Marketing - Senior Manager to join the Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) Marketing team on a permanent basis in London.

 

The Investment Capability Marketing - Senior Manager is a new role to the business and will be vitally important in supporting future growth expectations.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to come in and build out and drive engagement with a comprehensive content Strategy for the business, working across the channels and alongside the Investment Writing team, to determine the relevant themes that can support the Client Group.

 

As well as building the plan, you will be responsible for writing compelling content, in conjunction with the Investment team, which you will disseminate across channels. You will define capability messaging frameworks, Thought Leadership elements, and work with third parties to obtain broader reach for our content. You will be supported by a marketing manager, who we will be recruiting in parallel alongside a broader future team.

 

About the role

 

  • Setting the marketing strategy that builds awareness, deepens familiarity, and drives consideration of our core investment capabilities.
  • Establish and build a comprehensive content plan that maps into the core business requirements in order to enable sales.
  • Support the channels by identifying relevant themes and writing compelling articles/content that can be utilised across channels in conjunction with the Investment Writing team.
  • Work in collaboration with Channel marketing leads to define the strategy, positioning and campaign management and activation plans.
  • Work closely with the Investment Writing team and heads of investment desks and investment specialists to develop positioning and build core messaging frameworks.
  • Distinctive and compelling storytelling at a capability level considering how this feeds down to specific product promotional collateral.
  • Collaboratively develop activity and budget allocations to ensure the correct balance between activity that drives consideration and activity that drives product sales.
  • Deliver Insight/Thought Leadership in line with commercial objectives which gives depth and credibility to the brand.
  • Manage awards submissions, support channels with relevant copywriting for web and social where required.

 

About you

 

  • Strong demonstrable knowledge of the asset management industry including asset class and capabilities.
  • Previous experience of team management or leadership.
  • Excellent writing/editing skills - journalistic background is advantageous.
  • Good research skills that translate into compelling stories.
  • Clear understanding of FCA regulations as they apply to content.
  • Strong, proven knowledge of the asset management competitor landscape to position the business in the right areas.
