Sustainable Investment Analyst

Insight Investment are looking for a Sustainable Investment Analyst to join the Responsible Investment team, based in London. The successful individual will play a leading role in further developing and implementing our sustainable and impact investment framework and work together with the portfolio management team to ensure our sustainable and impact principles are carried through in the management of relevant strategies.


Role Responsibilities


  • Lead Sustainability analysis for investment opportunities across fixed income, providing a view on their social and environmental impact using internal methodologies and tools.
  • Support the design of investment frameworks for sustainable solutions, ensuring they are fit for purpose from both a financial and sustainability perspective.
  • Actively contribute to investment decisions for sustainable and impact opportunities with the portfolio management teams.
  • Develop and refine our impact investment framework to ensure it is aligned with industry best practices and the evolving needs of our stakeholders.
  • Represent the firm in relevant forums to contribute to the wider development of sustainable investing in fixed income.
  • Support engagement activity with issuing companies, sovereign issuers and issuing banks and identify areas for improvement.
  • Show industry leadership by staying at the forefront of industry trends and best practices in sustainable investing in fixed income.
  • Support the design of investment frameworks for ESG solutions, working with the product team and portfolio managers.
  • Participate in client pitches for sustainability-related products.


Experience Required


  • 3+ years worth of experience within sustainable investment analysis, preferably in the investment industry.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in a quantitative or analytical discipline.
  • A passion for ESG issues and the role they can play in investments.
  • Knowledge of fixed income markets, sustainable finance principles and impact measurement frameworks is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and quantitative skills.
  • Team player and willingness to get on with the job.
  • Strong MS office skills.
  • Agility and strong time management skills.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to be clear and concise.
