We are seeking to appoint a Group Leader to head up our Property Management Group.

Our ideal candidate will be a strong leader, team player and change agent, with excellent property management expertise and an ability to work across organisational boundaries and sectors, focussing on delivering timely and high-quality outcomes.  

Candidates will be high calibre property professionals with extensive experience of leading small to medium sized capital/revenue maintenance, repair and refurbishment programmes for property assets within a large multi-departmental organisation. 

As a key senior figure with accountability for project performance to clients across a broad range of service areas, you will be adept at devising and delivering multi-faceted property management programmes, ensuring projects are delivered to consistently high standards within set timescales and budgets. You will be experienced in leading teams, be used to managing multiple sources of funding/finance and be proficient in key areas such as Statutory/Duty of Care requirements, procurement and contract management.

We are continually improving and rationalising our asset base and offer a rewarding professional challenge with considerable scope to influence and innovate. The post holder can be sure of a varied and interesting workload where no day is the same and there are plenty of opportunities to make a personal impact. 

You will play a senior leadership role within the Council’s Economic Development, Assets and Property Service. You will lead internal and external multi-disciplinary teams on the delivery of annual programmes of planned and reactive property maintenance and Duty of Care across the Council’s corporate and commercial estate. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects within your control align with, and support, the Council’s Climate Emergency ambition to achieve Net Carbon Zero by 2030.
