TransferRoom is a profitable B2B SaaS Marketplace on a mission to change the football transfer market for the better. We do this by empowering football clubs, agents and players to be successful in the transfer market by giving them real-time market intelligence and direct access to a global network of decision-makers.
TransferRoom is market leading and has become a must have for key stakeholders in football’s transfer market. It’s used by 700 clubs, including Man City, Liverpool and PSG, 400 agencies and 8000 professional players. It has empowered clubs and agents to facilitate over 4,000 transfers since launch in 2017.
With our cutting-edge technology and data-driven approach, we are poised for rapid growth in 2024 and expansion into new markets, such as Head Coaches. To help us achieve our ambitious goals, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Marketing.

Brief intro to the role
TransferRoom is looking for a VP of Marketing to own all aspects of marketing for the company and our go-to-market strategy. You will be managing a current team of 10 including Growth Marketing, Sales Enablement, Events, Product Marketing and Content/PR with the opportunity to expand the team further in 2024.
This role will report to the CEO and Founder,Jonas Ankersen and be a key part of the leadership team.
Outcomes:
Customer Growth Strategy: Define our customer growth trajectory; identify new opportunities and programs to drive growth in existing and new segments Demand Generation: Run and evaluate experiments to build a demand-generation engine to bring inbound leads across our 3 target audiences. Stay lean and take an analytical test, learn and iterate-approach Brand Building: Craft our brand story to drive awareness, interest and excitement about our offering Content creation: Produce high-quality customer-facing content for delivery across multiple mediums to ensure we are seen as the thought leader and trusted go to solution in this space Customer Retention: Develop and implement a customer marketing strategy to increase customer retention, including churn reduction, upsell/cross-sell programs, and referral initiatives Sales Enablement: Collaborate with the sales team to provide impactful marketing collateral and initiatives to support outbound activity and improve funnel conversion and win rate Product marketing: be the voice of the customer working with product and sales to provide valuable customer insights, ensure messaging resonates with customers and support Product in launching new products and features Team Leadership: Lead, manage and grow a high-performing marketing team, to ensure successful execution of marketing initiatives to achieve business goals Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, analytics, and customer success, to ensure alignment of marketing initiatives with company objectives and successful Go-to-Market executionCharacteristics:
Strong communicator and storyteller with a knack for creating compelling marketing campaigns An operational and performance-driven mindset who holds themselves and the marketing team to the highest standards Data-driven and strategically minded with the ability to analyze performance and make adjustments to drive impact Strong prioritizer who can make informed decisions and communicate clearly about where to focus and what not to doExperience:
B2B SaaS experience of 7-10 years, ideally from a scale up background Leadership experience at a senior level, including managing and leading marketing and cross-functional teams for successful outcomes Proven track record in achieving acquisition and revenue targets Solid experience working closely with a sales team to generate a steady and growing flow of leads, opportunities supporting the sales team with assets and content to improve conversion rates Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment Experienced in developing brand positioning, value propositions and messaging that resonates with the customers Demonstrated success in defining and executing growth campaigns and programs Ideally, has experience in the sporting industry and / or B2B marketplacesWhat’s in it for you:
