We are currently recruiting a dedicated and Proactive

Director of Sales

to be a part of our main Driven Heartbeat of the Hotel, the Sales Department.

Quadrato Restaurant and Lounge offers Italian inspired menus with flavours that are light, fresh and quintessentially Italian. The adjacent Quadrato Bar & Lounge offers an array of signature cocktails, wine, beer and spirits and is the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks or a night cap.

Key qualities we are looking from the Director of Sales:

As the Director of Sales for the Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel, you will lead and manage the Sales Department which consists of the Sales Manager, Revenue Consultant (2 days a week with external non site support), Revenue Manager, Meetings & Events Manager, Social Media and Marketing Manager and the Reservations Manager with implementing and delivering the sales strategy for the Hotel by identifying sales opportunities and prioritise converting these opportunities to booked business.

Utilising previous experience in a similar role, you will have exceptional communication skills with strong proactive negotiating skills and have a keen motivation to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners alike. As the Director of Sales you will hold a genuine passion for high end luxury Hospitality and ensure a luxury is consistently addressed to all clients.

The ideal candidate will have the following Skills and Knowledge:

Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a 5* Luxury Hotel in a proactive Director of Sales role or Assistant Director of Sales looking to step up their career. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners Analytical skills and a strategic mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop effective sales strategies. Knowledge of hotel operations, revenue management, and the hospitality industry. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines. Proactive and flexible attitude in a swiftly changing environment. Strong knowledge of the Hospitality Central London and Docklands market. Incredibly proactive, likes to be creative and has autonomy in self-discipline, with a passion for sales and hunting for the business. A proven track record for developing new businesses and producing successful sales. Have a working knowledge of Opera system. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Positive and can-do attitude along with flexibility on working hours.

The main responsibilities for this role would include:

Develop and execute strategic plans for corporate sales, leisure and entertainment services, aligning with overall hotel objectives. Lead and manage the Sales Department which consists of the Sales Manager, Revenue Consultant (2 days a week with external non site support), Revenue Manager, Meetings & Events Manager, Social Media & Marketing Manager and the Reservations Manager providing guidance, setting targets, and ensuring effective performance to meet revenue goals. Set and achieve revenue targets by implementing effective sales strategies based, pricing models, and promotional campaigns. Develop and implement strategies to maximize Average Daily Rate, considering market conditions, competitor pricing, and customer demand. Identify, target, and acquire corporate clients to increase high ADR bookings and revenue. Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities for ADR enhancement, staying informed about industry trends and competitor pricing strategies. Provide regular reports and analyses on sales performance, market trends, and other relevant metrics to inform decision-making processes. Implement strategies to enhance the overall client and guest experience, focusing on satisfaction and loyalty. Ensure that all corporate sales activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. Stay abreast of industry innovations, emerging technologies, and evolving customer preferences to drive continuous improvement and innovation in corporate offerings. To design the annual sales plan, based on the previous research, investigation, and analysis of the market trends (national and international). To review the development of the plan and take appropriate actions to achieve the sales goals and improve the sales results. To design the annual budget including the product and service goals and revenue objectives.
