We are seeking a dynamic and strategic People Business Partner / HR Generalist (we are really flexible on job title) to join our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance, and enabling the effective management of our talent.  

As a key member of the People Team, you will manage key areas like employee relations, policy writing, and TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings - Protection of Employment) while supporting the development of people management toolkits and ISO accreditations. Your ability to build strong partnerships and effectively communicate across all levels of the organization will help us continue to build a supportive and thriving work environment. We are working hard at the moment to reshape our onboarding experience and we are looking for someone who can bring ideas to the table and help bring them to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations :

  • Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, employment law, and best practices.
  • Resolve employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary matters, and grievances, ensuring fair and consistent practices.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that aligns with the organization's values.

TUPE Management:

  • Lead the HR aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with TUPE regulations.
  • Provide expert advice to managers on handling staff transfers, contractual changes, and integration processes.

Policy and Procedure Development:

  • Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to align with current legislation and best practices.
  • Partner with managers and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and consistent implementation of policies.

People Management Toolkit Development:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive people management toolkit to empower managers with resources, guidelines, and templates.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to ensure the effective use of these tools.

Training Support:

  • Develop and deliver training on the effective use of the people management toolkit.
  • Organize sessions and materials to enhance the leadership and management capabilities across the organization.

ISO Accreditation Support:

  • Assist in maintaining and improving ISO standards compliance related to HR and organizational practices.
  • Collaborate with internal audit teams to identify areas for improvement and ensure readiness for audits.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within HR, ideally with experience in employee relations, TUPE, and applying best practice to a business in real terms
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Experience in developing toolkits or similar resources for management use.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
