Piper Maddox is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Manager within EV Charging. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding our clients footprint in the electric vehicle (EV) charging market. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, market knowledge, and relationship-building skills to navigate the evolving landscape of EV infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Execution :
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to drive market penetration and revenue growth in the EV charging sector.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to shape the strategic direction.
  • Partnerships and Alliances :
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including automotive manufacturers, utility companies, government entities, and technology providers.
  • Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring mutual benefits and alignment with company goals.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth :
  • Lead sales efforts to meet or exceed revenue targets for the EV charging division.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and prospects.
  • Oversee the sales process from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring a robust pipeline and accurate forecasting.
  • Project Management :
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., engineering, operations, marketing) to ensure the successful delivery of EV charging projects.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, ensuring high-quality and timely completion.
  • Market Expansion :
  • Explore and enter new geographical markets and customer segments.
  • Advocate for regulatory and policy changes that support the growth of EV infrastructure.
  • Team Leadership :
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing business development team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the team and across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience :
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably within the EV charging, renewable energy, or automotive sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing business strategies that drive growth and profitability.
  • Experience in managing complex projects and partnerships.
  • Skills :
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of EV charging technologies, market trends, and regulatory landscape.
