Health and Safety Administrator Role & Responsibilities:

As a Health and Safety Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our school complies with all health and safety regulations. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety policies, conducting regular risk assessments, and managing health and safety records. Your work will directly contribute to creating a secure and positive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain health and safety policies in line with current legislation.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments across the school premises and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor and record health and safety incidents, ensuring accurate documentation and timely reporting.
  • Coordinate and deliver health and safety training sessions for staff.
  • Oversee emergency procedures, including fire drills and first aid protocols.
  • Liaise with external agencies and inspectors to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team in promoting a culture of safety and well-being throughout the school.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a health and safety role, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective safety measures.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and inform staff on safety protocols.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
