Interparcel Ltd is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Commercial. Reporting directly to the Executive Management Team, the Head of Commercial will play a pivotal role in driving the company's commercial strategy, focusing on supplier negotiations, pricing strategies, and understanding competitor activity/initiatives.

Responsibilites:

  • Lead and manage the commercial team to help formulate and ensure effective execution of the company's commercial strategy.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for supplier negotiations, ensuring competitive pricing and terms that align with the company's objectives.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of market trends, competitor activity, and industry dynamics to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to align commercial strategies with overall business goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize pricing models, processes, and procedures.
  • Negotiate and maintain relationships with key suppliers, ensuring the highest level of service and value for Interparcel Ltd.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to commercial activities, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and market trends to proactively adjust strategies and tactics as needed.
  • Develop and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in a commercial leadership role, with a focus on supplier negotiations, pricing, and competitive analysis.
  • Strong understanding of the parcel delivery industry, including market dynamics, pricing strategies, and supplier relationships.
  • Experience of working in e-commerce environment
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving business growth and profitability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with commercial analytics tools/software.
