Jewson , a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Field Sales Executive to join our business who's as passionate about great service as we are.

You’ll be working for the Jewson Regional Sales Team ; however, the role is predominantly field based covering the North Northampton area, between our Corby and Kettering branches.

Hours: 7.30 – 5.00 Monday to Friday, mainly out on the road

To assist you in this role, you will be provided with a mobile phone, laptop and a company car.

Key Responsibilities

  • Find and develop new business via cold calling, lead follow ups, and general customer interaction
  • Support customers with the on-boarding of their new account, ensuring that they start and continue to spend
  • Target dormant & lapsed accounts to reactivate them
  • Develop trusted relationships with a portfolio of customers to maintain and improve profitability
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements, expanding relationships by continuously proposing solutions that meet the customer’s needs
  • Work with all functions and branch teams to ensure that all opportunities are leveraged
  • When on site must comply with all EHS policies and procedures

Required Skills and Experience

  • A full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points
  • Strong direct sales skills and commercial focus
  • Current knowledge of building materials and of the current construction market would be beneficial to the role
  • Proven experience in customer facing business and a proactive sales and customer focused environment delivering results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; written, phone and face to face.
