With a heavy focus on raising our profile and brand awareness in the UK and Europe among e-commerce, FinTech and Travel merchants, the Head of Content will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand's voice and presence across all platforms. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing our content strategy, overseeing public relations efforts, and managing a team to ensure our messaging is consistent, engaging, and aligned with our business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that encompasses thought leadership, industry insights, and product information across various channels including our website, blog, social media, webinars and press releases.
  • Manage and mentor a PR/Content Specialist, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Oversee the relationship with our PR agency to ensure PR campaigns are innovative, effective, and aligned with our overall marketing strategy.
  • Create compelling, high-quality content that enhances our brand's reputation and engages our target audience.
  • Monitor and analyse content performance metrics to inform strategy adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure a unified brand message.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to ensure our content remains relevant and impactful.
  • Manage the content calendar, ensuring a steady flow of content across all platforms.
  • Handle media inquiries and build relationships with key industry journalists and influencers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a content management role, preferably within the payments, fintech, or related industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing direct reports and external agencies.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing strategies, SEO, and analytics tools.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and translate them into effective content.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • First-hand experience in the payment processing industry
