Do you want to join a massively backed ISP, as they look to continuously expand their network across the UK?

This ISP is currently looking for a Head Of Networks to report into the Managing Director, to help drive the network forward.

This ISP has grown exponentially over the past 9 months but is still relatively early on in their career. They are looking for an experienced networking individual, to implement their own processes and procedures and make recommendations on the network. This is an opportunity to put your own stamp on the business and make the role your own

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the network team in actively troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, and configuring network infrastructure for both fixed and wireless typologies.
  • Recommend new and emerging technologies and equipment as required including the development of business cases.
  • Manage, support, and mentor a dynamic team to ensure they achieve the highest level of performance.
  • Development and improvement of architectural principles, specifications, processes, and procedures within the department to gain overall efficiencies.
  • Produce and maintain documentation and as-built records as required.
  • Prepare scope of works, technical evaluations, and submit procurement requests for new network infrastructure projects.
  • Work closely with the project team, and monitor progress, manage risk, and assess the quality of network projects to ensure requirements are met.
  • Effective management of 3rd party suppliers, monitoring performance against SLAs, and escalating issues where performance is not met.
  • Occasional travel to existing networks and client sites in various locations throughout the UK.

Skills/Must have:

  • Strong active core networking (ISP - MPLS/BGP/OSPF).
  • 5+ years managerial ideally
  • Leadership experience
  • Good Communicator
  • Passive Networking Experience (Preferred)
