As the Distribution Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our client's distribution centre. This position demands a hands-on leader who can manage and motivate a diverse team, ensuring the efficient handling and distribution of high-value products. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the distribution process, from receipt and storage to dispatch, while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and operational excellence.
Your primary focus will be to ensure the on-time delivery of products in perfect condition, meeting the exacting standards of the super-premium eCommerce sector. You will manage daily transportation logistics, optimise warehouse space and maintain accurate inventory levels. Additionally, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the distribution centre, contributing to cost reduction and service delivery improvements.
Effectively manage a team of warehouse staff, ranging from 6 to 70 people, in a multi-channel distribution facility, including direct-to-consumer and made-on-demand operations.
Ensure on-time delivery of the correct products in perfect condition; Optimise warehouse space utilisation to maintain stock at optimum levels.
Achieve and maintain high levels of customer service by meeting KPIs such as on-time delivery, on-time in full, distribution cost per case or tonne, stock accuracy and non-conformance report rectifications.
Utilise different inventory management systems flexibly.
