Company Overview:
Menzies Distribution is on the lookout for a Logistics Operations Supervisor to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in managing parcel sorting processes and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of warehouse operations.

Position: Logistics Operations Supervisor

Location: Chester, CH2

Compensation: Competitive

Work Schedule: 4on 4off Days

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct the dispatch operations.
  • Guide and enhance the performance of the operational team.
  • Ensure adherence to operational standards and surpass client expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Supervise driver and vehicle resources effectively.
  • Evaluate operational and financial performance metrics.
  • Coordinate site maintenance to ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing parcel sorting operations.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement strategies.
  • Familiarity with regulations regarding Drivers Hours, Tachograph, and Health & Safety.
  • Capability to lead, inspire, and develop teams.
  • Experience in managing budgets and measuring KPIs.
  • Competence in using computerized systems.
