This role involves strategizing, developing, and implementing initiatives that effectively communicate and promote security best practices across all levels of our business with the goal to foster a security-conscious environment, ensuring that security is a fundamental consideration in all business processes and decisions.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Security culture development: Design and deliver a security culture observability programme, ensuring we know what the macro, meso, and micro cultures are within the business and what contributes to a weak or strong security culture.
  • Strategic execution: Establish and maintain a strategy to foster a strong, positive security culture and feeling of responsibility throughout the organisation, ensuring long term, sustained improvement.
  • Choice architecture: Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to craft and implement technical solutions that nudge employees towards making secure choices more naturally, thereby simplifying secure actions and complicating insecure ones.
  • Metrics: Establish and oversee a metrics framework to effectively gauge and report the impact of changes in behavior, culture evaluations, and reductions in human-related risks.
  • Behavioural diagnosis: Identify the behaviours behind overarching security challenges, extracting the facilitators and barriers that need to change to effectively manage human risks.
  • Cyber communications: Support in both proactive and reactive security communications.
  • Training and Education: Develop and deliver engaging and adaptive training and awareness materials and activities that address various aspects of information security, including cyber threats, data protection, and incident response.
  • Engagement and Advocacy: Build and maintain a community of Security Champions across the business to help advocate secure behaviors and practices.
  • Policy and Compliance: Ensure that security awareness activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Line Management: Provide leadership and guidance to your team to continuously improve the delivery of behavioural change.
  • Research: Continuously update knowledge on the latest theories and methodologies in behavioral science, and explore innovative strategies to achieve our strategic goals

What we're looking for:

  • Proven relevant work experience in applying behavioural science preferably in large and complex organisations.
  • A strong portfolio of behaviour change interventions that demonstrate your ability to design, implement, and evaluate interventions.
  • Skilled in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of behaviour change initiatives through both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Able to compose detailed reports that explain the behavioural science aspects of cybersecurity to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and manage a small team, promoting a cooperative and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour change theories, methodologies, and their assessment. 
  • An undergraduate or master's degree in a relevant field such as information and cyber security, psychology, behavioural economics, organisational behaviour.
  • A solid understanding of the sociotechnical aspects of cyber security such as people-centric security, the role of human factors and the latest evidence on behaviour change for cyber security.
  • A solid understanding of the theories, principles, and methods of behavioural science and experience in how they can be applied to organisational settings.
  • Possess excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, capable of engaging effectively with all organisational levels and disciplines.
