Job Title: General Teaching Assistant - Full Time (KS1)

School: Two Form Entry Primary School

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am until 3pm (1 hour for lunch)

Veritas Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and hard-working KS1 (Key Stage 1) team. This position will working Monday to Friday, 9am until 3pm (25 hours per week).

Provide support to pupils within KS1 (Key Stage 1)
support Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom setting.
Assist the teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils, including those with challenging behaviours.
Implement interventions to support students' social, emotional, and academic development.
Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals to assess students' needs and progress.
Collaborate with colleagues to adapt lesson plans and materials to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.
Monitor and record pupils' progress, behaviours, and achievements, and provide feedback to the teacher and SENCO.
Communicate effectively with parents/carers, providing updates on pupils' progress and behaviour.
Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behaviour management and supporting pupils with SEN.

Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification or equivalent
Previous experience working with children or young people of all abilities, preferably in an educational setting.
Behaviour management skills, with the ability to implement effective strategies to support pupils with challenging behaviours.
Understanding of different SEN conditions and the impact they may have on learning and behaviour.
Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced classroom environment.
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field are desirable.
Commitment to promoting inclusion and equality for all students.
